After my graduation as an experimental psychologist at the University of Ghent (Belgium), I worked as a research assistant at the University of Antwerp (Belgium). In 1994 I joined Philips Research in Eindhoven (The Netherlands). 

In my research I focus on the effects that applications of technology have on people.
